Donna Tetreault is a national TV parenting journalist. You can watch her reports on NBC News Now/Daily’s ‘Modern Parenting’ segments. Her reports have been seen on The Today Show, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and The Talk on CBS. She is also seen often in Los Angeles on KCBS/KCAL, NBC’s California Live, KTLA, and Spectrum News One.

She is a contributor for U.S. News & World Report, Parents.com, Thrive Global, and Your Teen Magazine.

Her debut children's book, Dear Me, Letters to Myself For All of My Emotions is a Best-Seller and Readers' Favorite Award-Winner in the Educational Category. Dear Me proactively teaches children positive mental health strategies. In 2023, Dear Me was added to the book shelf at Yale’s Child Study Center.

Her parenting book, The C.A.S.T.L.E. Method: Building a Family Foundation on Compassion, Acceptance, Security, Trust, Love, Expectations plus Education is a best-seller, published by Familius, Abrams. It has been translated into Simplified Chinese and Russian.

Donna's unique experience has taken her career into several different directions.

TV reporting and writing: Donna has been a parenting/family/education reporter for over fifteen years. She was a parenting correspondent for NBC’s CA Live, FOX 11 in Los Angeles and HLN's Raising America with Kyra Phillips. She worked as a parenting contributor for The Insider, Access Live, and Home & Family TV.

Donna has been a general assignment reporter working in L.A. for CNN, KCBS-TV, and KNBC-TV. She has covered major news events throughout her career. Donna also worked as an education reporter for KCBS-TV, using her expertise as a former L.A.U.S.D teacher.

Education Work: Donna has been a guest blogger for Harvard University's Graduate School of Education's Making Caring Common Project. Donna worked as an elementary school teacher for L.A.U.S.D., in East L.A. She taught kindergarten, 1st, 4th, and 5th grades. She has also taught journalism classes at U.C.L.A. Extension. One of her favorite courses is The Art of the Interview.

Donna lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Andrew, and their two teen sons.
