Donna Tetreault currently appears as a parenting guest on the Dr. Phil Show, the number one rated daytime TV talker.
Most recently she was parenting correspondent for NBC’s CA Live where she shared stories that help educate, inform and entertain parents about what matters most, our children and family.
Donna has aligned with CT & Co. , teaming up with noted movie mom, Tara McNamara, as ‘The Insiders.’ ‘The Insiders’ offer curated, screening events featuring meaningful conversations to engage with talent and filmmakers/showrunners and facilitate interesting dialogue that leaves a lasting impression on the audience. ‘The Insiders’ kicked off this new venture with the screening of Fox’s ‘The Kid Who Would Be King.’
She has been a TV reporter for more than 15 years in Los Angeles. She is also an educator and writer. Donna's unique experience has taken her career into several different directions.
TV reporting and writing: Donna Tetreault has been a parenting/family/education reporter for nine years. She has been a contributor on Access Live. She also contributed on the syndicated show, 'The Insider,' where she shared her thoughts and expertise on the latest kids' movies in the series, "Parents' Guide.' She served as Parenting Contributor at FOX 11 in Los Angeles for two years. She reported for 'HLN's Raising America with Kyra Phillips.' She is a Huff Post blogger and also writes for LA Parent Magazine. She is the creator of DonnaTetreault.com. Donna interviews parents and national experts covering topics from infants to teens. Donna has been a general assignment reporter working in L.A. for CNN, KCBS-TV, and KNBC-TV.
Donna has covered major news events throughout her career, including the death of Princess Diana and the death of Michael Jackson. She also covered Michael Jackson's 2005 molestation trial. She was on the front lines covering countless California wildfires and mudslides. She's reported from the state Capitol and covered several elections. Donna also worked as an Education reporter for KCBS, using her expertise as a former L.A.U.S.D teacher.
Education Work: Donna is a guest blogger for Harvard University's Graduate School of Education's Making Caring Common Project. Donna worked as an elementary school teacher for L.A.U.S.D., in East L.A. She taught kindergarten, 1st, 4th and 5th grades. She has also taught journalism classes at U.C.L.A. Extension. One of her favorite courses is "The Art of the Interview."
Community Work: Donna is the founder of Caring Counts, a nonprofit that works to help enrich the lives of kids in foster care in California.
She is also the Executive Director of Care Fair L.A. an annual, community event to teach children and families kindness, compassion and inclusion to proactively combat bullying.
